December Beverly Library Game Day
Details
These events are open to members of Essex County Gamers and walk-in members of the public. This event is generally suitable for those aged 10ish & up, and families with younger children are welcome to come game together (childcare is not provided). If arriving late, post your arrival time in a comment-the hosts will try to have a seat in a game ready for you.
Games are of varying difficulty are played with each featuring a teacher. This is the perfect event for new board gamers or members who have only played classic board games. Games can be anything from quick and easy-to-learn light games to multi-hour, brain-burner-strategy heavy games. The optional theme for this month is Your Favorite Games of the 2020s! This is a very loose theme and you can still bring any game you are interested in playing, they do not have to be on-theme.
Food and beverages are allowed in the Sohier Room. Many gamers bring lunch or get takeout on Cabot Street. We usually do a group pizza order and have a pizza slice sign up sheet for anyone wanting to chip in. The event ends promptly at 4:00 PM, when all games should start cleaning up, with a hard exit at 4:30 PM.
