**Weather permitting, let's lace up our sneakers, bond and boost our physical and mental health together!**

This is a walking event so please wear comfortable shoes. Don’t forget your hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellents, bottled water, and anything else for your comfort. Belle Haven is also a great spot for a picnic. Feel free to pack a lunch and/or snacks to enjoy after a 45-minute to one-hour walk.

Public restrooms are available near the picnic area.

**Getting there:**
Travel south from Old Town, Alexandria on the George Washington Memorial Parkway towards Mt. Vernon. After crossing the stone bridge at Hunting Creek (unmarked), take your next left at "Belle Haven Park & Marina/Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve." and proceed to the Belle Haven Park parking lot. We'll meet at the entrance to the parking lot, make introductions, and walk along the trail toward Mount Vernon. When we return to the park we can enjoy a picnic lunch together.
