What we’re about
The Eugene Go Club doesn't seem to have reformed since COVID started, and since things are looking better for the time being (knock on wood), I'd like to propose we start meeting again!
My goals for the group are:
- To be as inclusive as possible for both new players and people who are conscious about COVID precautions. This means dedicating time to teaching new players and wearing masks when possible.
- To provide a regular meeting place for playing and potentially have lectures or study groups for players of all levels.
- To have fun and grow a community :)
I'd like to find a place that we could meet year round, but given that outdoor seating is still best to mitigate the spread of COVID, that will be difficult. For the time being I'm going to propose meeting at the 5th Street Market since it's covered and has some amenities around. Please let me know if you have any concerns or questions!
