Evergreen Chorus is a group of fun-loving, dedicated women who love to sing
a cappella music in 4-part harmony. We perform music from a variety of genres and time periods, from classics, to contemporary to holiday and more!!
Our members are as versatile as our songs and span all ages, We are a small chorus of 27 members. We are a chapter of Sweet Adelines International and perform locally as well as compete annually in Albany, NY along with our Regional sister choruses.
Evergreen is proud to be the 3rd place medalist at the 2017 SAI International Harmony Classic competition held in Las Vegas NV. Our focus as Sweet Adelines, is musical education and learning how to sing harmony and sing well as a group and improving our own vocal skills.
If you are a woman who enjoys singing we would love to meet you. We rehearse every Tuesday evening at 7:15pm at the Crown Heights Clubhouse, 34 Nassau Road, Poughkeepsie, NY
You don't need to read sheet music or have any musical training. If you have a good ear and can match pitch and are willing to learn, this might be the right place for you. We provide audio learning tracks of our songs for ease in learning new music. When you're ready, we will walk you through our audition process and encourage you every step of the way. We want you to succeed!
