International Boardgame Gathering
Details
Come spend a relaxed Sunday afternoon at our cozy, cafe-themed venue on Istiklal Caddesi!
This event is designed for expats and foreigners in Istanbul to connect over classic board games like Monopoly (including the Turkish version!) and Backgammon. It’s a perfect chance to break the ice, make new friends, and enjoy some friendly competition. As a fellow Expat I understand what it can be like to have come to a different country, and have difficulty with finding people with similar interests and of course the language barrier. So this is for everyone that needs to adjust or would like to make new friends and have some fun.
Monopoly Tables: Each table will host up to 5 players, with one player randomly selected as the banker to ensure fairness.
Games will last 3 hours or until a winner emerges. If the time is up and there’s no clear winner, the player with the highest net worth will be declared the victor.
Backgammon: We’ll have backgammon boards available as well. As a classic Turkish game, it’s highly encouraged! If you’re new to backgammon, someone will be there to teach you.
Choose Your Own Adventure: Feel free to pick a game, relax, or just chat over coffee and snacks. The meetup is casual, so everyone can enjoy at their own pace.
Our private venue is on the 3rd floor, features high-speed Wi-Fi, a fridge stocked with soft drinks, and endless supplies of tea, coffee, and snacks throughout the event. To help us keep things running smoothly, there’s a one-time entry fee of $10, which covers all your drinks and munchies.
We are hosting on multiple channels so it is advised to RSVP via Whatsapp to confirm your spot.
Please send us a message (Whatsapp : 0505 515 2558) to let us know you're coming! Feel free to bring guests along. We look forward to seeing you there!
