This walk starts from The Winged Spur, Main Street, Ullenhall, B95 5PA. It is also possible to park outside the church, situated in Church Road, and walk through the public footpath opposite the church to the pub, though as this is a Sunday walk, there may be limited parking.
This is an easy 3.5 mile stroll through country lanes and fields that are mostly flat but potentially muddy, with one gentle incline. There is one rather awkward - (for people, not dogs) - but not impassable style and we may encounter horses (largely indifferent to interlopers) and sheep, other livestock are unlikely. We pass a farm and the delightful Old Chapel, which is normally open and definitely worth a look inside. This walk has a real Olde Worlde village feel, with thatched roof cottages with hand pumps in the front garden; churchyards with sheep grazing in adjacent fields; arable fields overlooked by church spires and ancient graveyards; and a war memorial festooned with poppies in the village square outside the Winged Spur.
