Name: Discovery Bay to Mui Wo via Lo Fu Tau aka Tiger's Head (Moderate, Rated 2.7)

Lo Fu Tau (老虎頭) aka Tiger's Head is located in the northeast of Lantau Island. The hill is named because the top of the hill resembling the shape of a tiger's head. The trail to its summit offers hikers a spectacular panoramic view of Discovery Bay below. Other attractions include the silver mine cave, a waterfall, and interesting giant rocks resembling a peach and a strange-looking duck.

**1\. Difficulty and nature of the hike:**
A moderate hike. It's not suitable for beginners because the route has a lot of big steps and the short section to the summit of Lo Fu Tau is steep with loose rocks. Pace would be slow to moderate with regular breaks. Speedy and advanced hikers are also welcome but you must be willing to wait for the slower ones.

10 km, 500 m elevation (cumulative), around 4-4.5 hours walking time.

Water, snacks, hat, sunblock, insect repellent, clothes for changing, gloves (optional), walking stick (optional)

Guests, kids, jeans, pets, or smokers

Discovery Bay Pier -> Lo Fu Tau -> Lo Fu Tau Country Trail -> A Po Long -> Mui Wo

Height: 3.0 (500 m)
Pace: 1.8 (slow to moderate pace, regular breaks)
Surface: 2.6 (Well-defined trail with some big steps, some sandy and steep surfaces, loose rocks and unevenness)
