Name: Lam Tin Park to Black Hill and Mau Wu Shan - Moderate 2.4

We will take a slow walk from Lam Tin Park to the top of Black Hill, then follow the trail down the other side, passing Mau Wu Shan and then back to Lam Tin Park. Along the way we will pass the former Black Hill aviation reflectors and the remains of the old Mau Wu Shan Chinese military observation post (pre 1898). We should have some nice coastal views as we make our way along the trails.

**1\. Difficulty and nature of the hike:**
A moderate hike, suitable for most hikers with reasonable level of fitness and who are comfortable with many steps. A slow pace with adequate breaks for rest and taking photos.

**2\. Hike statistics:**
7 km, 620m elevation cumulative (Highest point 283m), about 2.5 hours walking time.

**3\. What to bring:**
Enough water, snacks, sun protection and mosquito repellent.

**4\. What not to bring:**
No guests, children or pets. Smoking is not allowed.

**5\. Meetup place and time:**
10:00 am at Lam Tin MTR station. Meet at Exit A (MTR concourse level).

**6\. Hike description:**
From the MTR station, we will make our way to Lam Tin Park (mostly using escalators). There are toilets at the park and after introductions we will start walking by 10:30 am.

We will climb the steps to the Lam Tin Morning Walk Trail then follow this trail before ascending Wilson Trail Sec. 3 to the Former Aviation Reflectors on Black Hill. We will then continue to Mau Wu Shan and the former Mau Wu Shan Observation Post. We will then descend and follow Po Lam Rd South and the Morning Walk Trail as we return to Lam Tin Park.

Height: 3.5 (620 m cumulative - Highest point 283m)
Pace: 1.5 (slow pace with frequent breaks)
Surface: 2.2 (paved road/path/steps & dirt trail some unevenness)
