The premise is simple, really. You're a writer of some sort. Maybe you're working on an article, a book, a journal entry, or a love letter to your childhood crush -- we're not fussy about what it is you do. We just know that sometimes as a writer, you get cooped up behind your laptop alone for too long and could use a bit of community to make more progress.

​​So, come write with us.
​​Bring whatever you need (computer, pen, etc) and we'll take a quiet hour to simply write together. At the end, if you'd like to share a bit of what you worked on, we'll have some time to do that, too, but no pressure.
​​This is an easy way to meet others who share the same hobby or profession, make some new friends, and possibly grab a glass of natural wine or delicious bite to eat while you're at (yeah, we do that, too!).

​This is a free (and very popular) event, and we’re thrilled to host it! To help us keep it going, we kindly ask guests to order something from our delicious food & drinks menu to enjoy while you write. Your support helps us keep the lights on and take care of our wonderful staff, allowing this much-loved event to continue. Thank you so much for being a part of it!

​Limited seating is available and is on a first come first serve basis. If you wish, you're welcome to join us a little earlier from 6-7.30pm for some pre-event mingling. A chance to meet others with similar interests and grab a bite to eat and drink.

​How does a Reading Party work?
You bring a book of your choice that you'd like to read. Then, you'll grab a seat in our cafe and spend time reading quietly while the tunes of our special, reading-friendly playlist float in the air. After 30 minutes of reading, you'll gather with a few other readers and chat about your book and what you just read. Reading can lead to some interesting and lively conversations and you might just make some new friends (it tends to happen at our events!). Then, we'll do one more round of reading and sharing so that you can leave with some real reading progress, and have great conversations.

​At Fable, we also have a selection of beverages to make the evening even sweeter, like natural wines, hard kombucha, non-alcoholic kombucha, and more. Plus, attendees get 10% off any of our books for the evening, so come early to have a browse!

​If you wish, please do join us a little earlier from 6-7pm for some pre-event mingling. A chance to grab a bite to eat, drink, and meet like-minded people.
