MAE Organization for the Homeless Volunteer Opportunity: SET UP

This event is held twice yearly. Fab 50s offered this volunteer opportunity last year and the members who helped really enjoyed it.

Low-income clients are bussed in from all over RI. They are offered a free hot meal, a free haircut, and a huge room to “shop” (free) for warm clothes and personal hygeine items.

This meetup is for those who can help set up. That might be carrying boxes of clothes to folding tables, putting them on hangers, sorting shoes by size, etc. if you are unable to bend/carry that’s fine…. Please just let me know either before or when you get there and we will fine something for uou to do that’s more appropriate.

The doors open at about 1:00pm, so you’ll be gone before the event begins. But please know you’ll be a huge help! Wear comfortable clothes/shoes! Bring a sweater/sweatshirt/jacket just in case!

You are welcome to sign up for one or both events (Set Up and/or Help Clients). We put the max at 12 people for each. Volunteers need to be 18+. So grateful for all of you!
