- World Food Tour: Paesan's for Friday Night Tasting (Italian)Paesano's, Philadelphia, PA
RSVPs for this event will open on 11/29 at noon.
Paesano's is known as one of the best sandwich shops in Philly. But what you probably did not know is that on Friday nights they have 4-Course Tasting Selection (Family Style) and I just booked it. The menu changes weekly.
This restaurant is BYOB so you are encouraged to bring a bottle of wine. There is a prefix family-style dinner for $75/pp. After the gratuity of 20%. With tax and tip, it should be $96/pp. Bring cash $$$. The bill will be split evenly. Let me know if you have any dietary restrictions.
You will have to find street parking or take public transportation. Carpooling is encouraged.
I will confirm that you will be attending a day or two before the event so that I can adjust the reservation if needed. If you can't attend, kindly change your RSVP to not going so that someone on the wait list can go or I can correct the reservation at least 24 hours prior.
I can't wait to share this stop on our tour with you. I hope to see you there.

There is no better place to visit at Christmas than NYC. The agenda would be set by those who wish to attend. Last year we visited Times Square, Rockefeller Center, store windows along 5th Avenue, Central Park, Columbus Circle Christmas Market, the Rockettes, the light show at Saks, and enjoyed lunch and dinner.
If there are members who want to see the Rockettes or another show they can get in line to purchase discount matinee tickets in Times Square. The rest of the group can check out the city and everyone can meet back up at a set time and place. What we do will be decided by the attendees as a group.
We would meet up at the Hamilton Station. I will get there early and post the spot where we will meet. The train is $18.65 each way from Hamilton Station to Penn Station. If some members are in the same area they could carpool to the station. If you are interested in carpooling, post your neighborhood in the comments so that members in the same neighborhood can make connections. Many local trains also go to the Hamilton Station. Penn Station is about a 0.7-mile walk from Times Square. Wear comfortable shoes, there will be a lot of walking and standing. You can always bring a second pair of shoes in a backpack if you think your feet may hurt (I have done that and it works). Dress in Layers.
Here is the departure information. I will be there by 7:45 AM and suggest to everyone else they arrive as close to that as possible so that we can get tickets and find each other before the train arrives.
