Are you a writer of color, looking to connect, share tips and challenges, elevate your work and find community? If so, you are welcome at the Fairfield County Story Lab!
The Writers of Color meet-up is a supportive and inclusive gathering that provides a platform for writers from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds to network, build camaraderie, share experiences and nurture ideas. These meet-ups offer:
· Connection: Writers have the chance to connect with peers who understand the unique challenges and perspectives faced by writers of color.
· Sharing: Writers will get opportunities to share work and engage in discussions about cultural themes, identity and representation in literature.
· Inspiration and Empowerment: Writers can inspire and empower each other by celebrating achievements and discussing ways to overcome obstacles.
· Diversity of Genres: The meet-ups encompass a wide range of writing genres, reflecting the diverse voices within the group.
· Guest Speakers: Occasionally, speakers will be invited to share their insights and experiences.
· Building Community: The goal is to build a strong and supportive community of writers of color.
