Chaparrosa Spring Loop Trail at Pioneer Mountains Preserve

Details

We will meet at The Red Dog Saloon, in the parking lot, in Pioneertown (location pinned in this hike event), and we'll caravan 2.4 miles to the Chaparrosa Spring Loop trailhead together. There is a free parking lot at the trailhead.

This hike is rated on All Trails as 4.7 moderate, and is 3.9 miles.

It is like Joshua Tree, but without the fee, as there is no day use or parking fee.

We'll see amazing boulders and rock formations, amazing views, wildflowers and blooming cacti (hopefully), and there is a variety of wildlife to be seen along this trail.

Dogs are allowed on leash.

There are a few picnic tables to lunch at within proximity to the parking lot, or we can have a bite to eat at The Red Dog Saloon and wander through Pioneertown shops, afterwards.

Please, be sure to bring adequate hiking shoes, plenty of water, and sun protection for this hike.
