Evening all! As promised I have now finalised numbers, timings and travel arrangements with our coach and boat companies and can now publish our finalised travel itinerary and a couple of useful maps, to make sure you all what’s happening and when.

Farnborough Car Park: FEES & PAYMENT: Address: Union Street West car park, Farnborough GU14 7RD.
The entrance is off Union Street, just a few yards past the entrance to Farnborough Main railway station, opposite the junction of Elm Grove Road. The ticket machine is in the middle of the car park. Car park fee is £5:00 for an ‘All Day’ ticket, which will cover us for all day Saturday. There is NO telephone car park booking (such as RingGo) but you can pay at the machine with credit/debit card, cash or coins. TOP TIP: Please leave plenty of time to pay at the ticket machine, as there will be 45 people all trying to pay and the ticket machine is slow when paying by credit/debit card. I recommend you bring £5:00 in coins if you are going to arrive late.

TRAVEL ITINERARY:
Saturday 30th November 2024
Arrive at Union Street Car Park from 11:30 onwards to get parked and obtain parking tickets.
11:45. Coachpoint Coach arrives at Union Street Car Park and will leave at 12:00 MIDDAY on the dot. DON’T BE LATE, THE COACH WON’T WAIT!
Our coach is a 48-seater luxury coach with an on board toilet and plenty of storage space in the ‘boot’ for any luggage to keep the cabin clutter-free. Apart from the four seats at the front, there is no reserved seating so feel free to sit where you like.
12:00-14:15. Coach ride to Greenwich, London. - Destination King William Walk, Greenwich.
14:15-16:00. When we arrive at Greenwich you will have a couple of hours of free time to either have a spot of lunch, do some Christmas shopping in Greenwich Market, or visit the famous ‘Cutty Sark’ ship, the National Maritime Museum or the Royal Observatory which are all within a few minutes walk. (I have uploaded to the Event ‘Photos’ section a nice map of the Greenwich area, which you can print and bring with you).
3.45pm. Meet our Tour Guide at the ‘Cutty Sark’ ship. He/she will then conduct us to Greenwich Pier where we will board our Thames Riverboat cruiser for our departure at 16.10pm. DON’T BE LATE, THE BOAT WON’T WAIT!
16:10-17:10. River Thames Riverboat Cruise to Westminster Pier. We’ll pass Canary Wharf all lit up like a mini-Manhattan, sail beneath a floodlit Tower Bridge and through the glistening City, West End and the London Eye before mooring at Westminster Pier. Our boat has an on board toilet, a bar and inside and outside seating from which to enjoy the ride.
17:20-17:30. Moor at Westminster Pier. Disembark boat and re-board our coach.
17:15-19:00. Lights & Sights coach tour of London. Our Tour Guide and Driver will select the best lights and illuminations in order to see London at its Christmassy best.
19:00-20:30. Covent Garden. On arrival, you will have around one-and-a-half hours to go for a meal/drink in the many bars, cafés and restaurants, enjoy the street performers, do a bit of Christmas shopping and/or simply enjoy the Christmas lights and decorations. (I have uploaded to the Event ‘Photos’ section a nice map of the Covent Garden Market area, which you can print and bring with you).
20:30. Meet at Coach. We will then all meet back at the coach and board for our journey home to happy Hampshire! DON’T BE LATE, THE COACH WON’T WAIT!
20:45-10:30. Coach ride to and arrival back at Union Street Car Park, Farnborough.”

I am not a meterologist, nor do I have a crystal ball, but I’d recommend you dress wamly and maybe bring a ‘foldy-uppy’ brolly, a camera and a watch to make sure you’re NOT LATE FOR THE COACH OR BOAT!😉 Please also print this itinerary and accompanying maps. Most of all though, bring along a good sense of humour and prepare for a fun day with your FFFAFFING AROUND chums on our lights, sights and bites bussy boaty ‘beano’!
