In the fifteenth-century Byzantine Empire, Anna is a seamstress living in Constantinople. In the present day, Zeno, a veteran, works in a library in Idaho translating Ancient Greek texts. A disturbed autistic youngster named Seymour, becomes caught up with a group of ecoterriorists.
