What we’re about
We are continuing our live and in-person events, and we continue to observe mitigation methods and precautions, to minimize the chance for sharing more than beautiful music! We are doing our best to be inclusive to all who would like to attend, to include those in high risk or immune compromised status. N95 / KN95 masks are required to be worn properly inside the performance room (except for the performer while performing), and beverages will be available for enjoyment outside in the lighted courtyard area, and also may be enjoyed inside during performances, just move your mask, take a sip, and return your mask to regular operating position (and fasten your seat belt)! We continue to improve our ventilation and air circulation - sometimes that means a door is left open, so please dress to suit the climate! Our goal is to continue presenting live music, and remain open for that beautiful exchange of energy that happens in the room - and we want our indoor area to be as safe as possible for all attendees. Please check our event listings for details on individual events.
This Meetup is for anyone who enjoys acoustic music in an intimate, listening room environment. We showcase the incredible talent to be found right here in Arizona and the Southwest, as well as many musicians who are touring nationally and internationally.
Fiddler's Dream is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to provide a place for the performance and appreciation of live, completely acoustic music, from a wide variety of musical genres. Singer and songwriter, Blues, Irish, bluegrass, folk, Americana, rock, pop music, poetry and spoken word, and more all find a home at Fiddler's Dream. Coffee, tea, soft drinks and bottled water are the generally available beverages, and may be enjoyed outside of the music room.
We continue our weekly Open Stage night on Thursdays. It is a great place to relax and unwind, or to follow your dream of making music and sharing it with others - poetry and spoken word are also welcome! Friday and Saturday nights will be our usual scheduled sets of music, and usually a monthly curated Poetry Night, and a traditional storytelling event, Phoenix Folklore Friday, each month. We look forward to scheduling workshops, seminars, music festivals, and special benefit events throughout the year. We are also interested in providing a space for folks to meet and connect. Let us know if you might have a community project that we could help with.
Are you a musician who might like to share your music at Fidd's? We are completely totally absolutely acoustic (except for our electric Yamaha piano) and can work with you on a set structure that would work for you; we usually book for 55-minute or 60-minute sets, on Friday and Saturday evenings. Please be in touch! You may text us at 602-997-9795, or email us at [email protected] . Poets and storytellers are also welcome to be in touch!
