Book Discussion - The Simple Path to Wealth

Our last book was all about the "Why?" of Financial Independence (FI), but this month we're exploring the "HOW?" to actually achieve it.

"The Simple Path to Wealth" by JL Collins is a clear, straightforward guide to one method of investing for long-term wealth accumulation. It's not the only way to reach FI, but it's certainly one of the simplest.

JL Collins is a well-known figure in the FI community as a long-time blogger, podcast guest and speaker at FI events.

WHAT TO READ
There is only one edition, published in 2016. It's under 300 pages so we should be able to cover the entire book.

Personal finance can be a difficult subject for some people to discuss, so please be kind and courteous. We won’t tolerate hate speech, bullying, or degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity. We also want to respect everyone’s privacy. What happens at book club stays at book club!

BE INVOLVED
Nobody can force you to read the book we’ll be discussing, but we hope you’ll try. Not every book will connect with everyone, but hopefully, there will be at least one new idea you can take away. You’re also not expected to participate in the discussion, but everyone has unique opinions and life experiences – and we think yours are as valuable as anyone else’s!

NO-SHOWS
Please be considerate of others on the waiting list when an event is full. If you’ve signed up but can no longer attend, update your RSVP as soon as possible to allow others the opportunity to join. Members who are no-shows more than twice will be removed from the group.
