Let's visit Long Island’s North Fork for a fun day at the orchards!

This escorted tour package includes discounted round-trip rail, bus transportation, tastings at **[Riverhead Ciderhouse](http://www.riverheadcider.com/)**, fruit picking at **[Wickham’s Fruit Farms](http://wickhamsfruitfarm.com/)**, and a visit to the village of Greenport.

The train will leave from Penn Station at 7:44 AM (or you can catch the train at Grand Central at 7:38 AM). We'll be taking the train to Montauk, changing in Jamaica. We will get off the train in Westhampton, and from there a bus will take us first to the Riverhead Ciderhouse, then fruit picking at Wickham's Fruit Farms, and then a visit to the village of Greenport for shopping and lunch. The bus will then take us back to the Westhampton Station, and back on the LIRR to take us back to either Grand Central or Penn Station.

There will be tour guides on hand as part of the LIRR Escorted Tours/MTA Getaway.

The cost for the October trip is $103.75. Everyone will be purchasing their own ticket.

Tickets may be purchased at Gray, Green or Blue Ticket Machines and ticket windows at **[LIRR stations](https://new.mta.info/agency/long-island-rail-road)\***. Select "MTA Away Deals," then, "Escorted Tours," then the tour.

Multiple tickets/vouchers will print. Be sure to take all items dispensed and board the rear train car. This tour has limited space availability.
**\*** *Tickets will be available at ticket vending machines up to the Wednesday before the tour and available at ticket windows until the day of the tour.*

I do not believe you can purchase this tour online. It must be purchased in person at a Gray, Green or Blue ticket machine at any LIRR station, or the ticket windows.

This will be a FULL day, leaving at 7:15 in the morning and not returning until 8:30-ish in the evening. This escorted tour involves considerable walking to fully experience the destination.

Let's meet at the Duane Reade on 34th and 8th Avenue (470 8th Avenue) at 7:15 AM and then walk over to Penn Station to get on the LIRR. The train leaves from Penn Station at 7:44. We might be able to catch our train from the Moynihan Station.
