What we’re about
At this point in our lives, we have learned the value and importance of strong female friendships. Our group’s purpose is to help you make connections and form friendships while participating in activities designed to promote interaction (and fun). We’re a supportive group of women that welcome all who join us. We strive to be all-inclusive and welcome diversity on all levels. (Please read to the end.)
Our demographic, in particular, is one of transition. Children are gone, careers are winding down, and schedules are less cluttered. Just when we have more time for friends, we are most disconnected from the networks that allowed us to find them. FFF>F taps into this need.
Annual Dues
Annual dues are $6. This helps to defray the administrative costs of Meetup and if there is surplus at the end of the year it will go towards an event. New members have one month grace period to pay their dues.
Photo Requirements
If you’d like to join this group, please ensure that your meetup photo is a headshot—only your head and shoulders, nobody else in the photo, and no obscuring elements like sunglasses or hats.
Your photo is a key tool for the organizers and also for the other women you’ll meet. PLEASE check your profile picture BEFORE you request membership. If your picture fails to meet the requirements, your request will be declined until a photo that meets the requirements is submitted. This is a private group so only other members can see your photo.

Notification Settings & Cancellations
We request that you have your email updates and notifications turned on in SETTINGS. And that you respect your commitment when you sign up for an event. We've noticed that a number of events have had last-minute cancellations--or worse, people who've RSVPed and then never showed up. When someone makes the effort to host, she's putting in time and energy to ensure the event or activity is a success. Additionally, we make a commitment to the venue for a minimum number of people when they reserve space for us at restaurants, etc. When you take yourself off the attending list, MeetUp automatically alerts the next person on the waitlist so they can attend. We understand that life happens and you're sometimes prevented from following through, which is why we implemented a 3-strikes rule.
If you cancel within 24 hours of an event or fail to show up 3 times within a calendar year, then our hosts reserve the right to bump you to the waiting list for popular events. If it happens 4 times, then you'll be suspended from attending any events for 6 months. If you make a commitment, please honor it, or relinquish your spot far enough in advance that another woman might attend. Folks who have 2-strikes against them will be notified via private messaging.
Thanks for your understanding.
