What we're about

If you're a woman over 50, living in Boulder County and surrounding area, and are looking for friends- you've found the right place. We’re a great group of dynamic, interesting, and supportive women and are always looking for newcomers. Once you start participating, you will begin to know our active members, and you will form friendships... not overnight, but over time. So come prepared for conversation and camaraderie.  And, please, leave your business-networking hat at home; this is about finding friends, not customers.  (Of course you can share what you do, just don't have an agenda to sell us something).

For this group, we require a picture of YOU... not a landscape, an animal, or you far away; not a group or couple photo; a photo that shows your features (a head shot) so that we can tell one member from another.  Your picture is an essential tool to help organizers find you at events you are attending.  Only your name should be shown as it gets confusing to have couples listed together.

If your picture is not a mug shot, we will not accept you into the group- but don’t worry, you can re-apply.  Please check your Meetup messages if you are not approved within a few days.  If you need help changing your profile picture, please message Pam T through Meetup.

IMPORTANT INFO:

  1. Every woman is welcome
  2. Be kind, respectful, and supportive.  We are a very diverse group – you will meet women who have different backgrounds and belief systems than you have – and this is a good thing!  Putting down or shaming others for their beliefs will not be accepted – please report any incidents to an event organizer.
  3. When changing your RSVP from yes to no, please give 12 hour notice for hikes and walks, and 48 hours for restaurant events if possible. This way the wait list group and the leader have time to plan.
  4. Please be on time to events with a "leave" time, such as walks and hikes.  Unless there are extenuating circumstances, hikes and walks will leave on schedule.
  5. On hikes or other outdoor activities, we make sure that no Adventuress is left behind! However, please pay attention to any stipulations in the event description and be prepared to keep up if guidelines are given.
