**Welcome to the 4th Yushan Conference!** This year's event focuses on AI in security, ethics, and finance, bringing together professionals from academia and industry. This initiative aligns with Taiwan's Ministry of Education's Yushan Scholar Fellow Program, which is dedicated to enhancing research cooperation and fostering global research integration.
We encourage invited speakers to submit their research papers to the special issue **Financial Crime in the Digital Era** in the journal **Digital Finance**. Daniel Traian PELE

**Daniel Traian Pele** is Professor at the Department of Statistics and Econometrics, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Romania, teaching Statistics of Financial Markets and Time Series. He focuses on statistical modelling of financial markets and digital assets. 

**Stefan Lessmann** is Professor of Information Systems at the Humboldt-University of Berlin. His research concerns machine learning and artificial intelligence (MLAI) methodologies and their use cases in managerial decision support. He focuses on MLAI applications in marketing and risk analytics and actively participates in knowledge transfer and consulting projects with industry partners; from start-up companies to global players and not-for-profit organizations.

**Chuan-Ju Wang** completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taiwan University in 2011. She currently holds the position of Research Fellow at the Research Center for IT Innovation, Academia Sinica in Taiwan. Her research focuses on computational finance and data analytics.

**Mark L. Shope** is Professor of Law at School of Law of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. His research areas include include policy and human rights issues relating to the use of artificial intelligence, cross-border transactions utilizing blockchain technology, design thinking, and online learning.
