Meet Aubree, Free Yoga SF’s lead instructor:
Hi Beautiful people!
I’m Aubree.
I am a San Francisco based somatic yoga and mindfulness instructor specializing in trauma and mental health. I’ve spent over 7 years working with youth in high schools, juvenile halls and group homes around the Bay Area. In these settings I’ve dedicated my time educating students, teachers, social workers, counselors and staff on the effects of stress on our brains, bodies and behaviors. I’ve started programs in high schools holding “Mindfulness for Mental Health” groups where students living with trauma, ptsd, anxiety, depression and the on-going stresses of life learn sustainable self care practices. I’ve also held support groups for women in addiction recovery, adults with disabilities, and seniors as well as provide 1:1 support in private therapeutic somatic yoga sessions and more. I am passionate about holding space for people to learn, experiment, and explore, serving as a guide for those who wish to feel better in their heads, hearts and bodies.
This class was created and formerly taught by Rachel Goudey. I am beyond grateful to be able to keep this class going. Rachel and I share the passion of guiding accessible healing practices to our communities.
