Welcome to Florida. This group is for anyone who wants to connect with others, new or old, in the area and about getting to know Florida! Florida has more migrating newcomers than natives, and the population is growing at a rate three times that of the entire nation.
And yes, it's also about the environment, keeping Florida wild!
We are at a tipping point; this rapid growth is not sustainable for the state and its environment. If not understood, the cost will undesirably impact our quality of life. So we hope to give each person an understanding of Florida's ecology and the knowledge to help their own communities enhance their local ecology and save our beautiful Florida open lands, wildlife, and waters—the very reason we all live here.
