DuPuis, or Not DuPuis?

Details

There is no question!

The DuPuis Water Management Area has consistently provided us with the perfect setting to gather together and celebrate the great outdoors!

We will have access to the entire group camp site for some fun in the sun and our usual campfire camaraderie! What a great circle! And, as an added bonus... Friday night will bring us the Worm Full Moon which symbolizes the end of winter.

We plan to hike and bike and mostly explore all that this multi-use natural area has to offer. The property is interspersed with ponds, wet prairies, cypress domes, pine flatwoods, and remnant Everglades marsh, and provides miles of hiking trails as well as equestrian use trails. DuPuis is far from urban areas, and weather permitting, its dark night sky lends itself to excellent stargazing and the most incredible campfires! There is a nature center with interpretive displays, a butterfly garden, and a cypress boardwalk in addition to 22 miles of hiking trails, which includes a segment of the Ocean to Lake spur of the Florida Trail.

The group site is on the primitive grounds, and camping is free of charge, though donations are always welcomed. We will need a minimum number of campers to meet the group site criteria, so PLEASE RSVP with consideration.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you out there!
