Monthly Chapter Meeting - Okeeheelee Park Nature Center

Monthly Chapter Meeting. Social with refreshments at 3p.m. followed by a guest speaker at 3:30p.m.
This months speaker will be a manager/planner from Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources Management. Palm Beach County plans to apply for a $350,000 grant from Florida’s Recreational Trails Program to help pay for proposed trails and other public use facilities at the 56.51-acre Lake Park Scrub Natural Area (Natural Area). The proposed trails and other public use facilities include an accessible, paved nature trail; natural-surfaced hiking trail; 5-car, 1-bus parking lot with bike rack; wildlife observation platform; wildlife observation area; and two informational/interpretative kiosks. The County is seeking input on the proposed trails and public use facilities. This is a change for you to give your input on the proposals.

We meet in the Nature Center. Follow the signs for the Nature Center all the way to the back of this huge park.
