Question: Will This Fly Catch A Gar??? π£π
-
- On the way to Weir, FM 971 passes Berry Creek approximately 4 miles east of Georgetown; the bridge offers access to the creek. Riffle flow mixed with some quite nice sized holes filled with emerald green water. Upstream is some deeper holes. The wading was easy; the stream bottom is covered in medium-sized to huge gravel. Parking is available on the Northeast or Northwest side of the bridge. There is a rather steep walk down to the water.
- There are a bunch of decent sized Rios through this stretch. Rios, Rios, Rios!! π£π
- I want to go upstream from the bridge where Jeremy saw aligator gar two Saturdays ago. I'm going to tie some gar files and hope to catch a couple of 3.5 feet ones. Someone with a landing net will come in handy!
