Fishing Excursion: Dos Rios RV Park on the Llano River and WinterFisch!

Get away to the hill country for a weekend of camping and fly fishing the Llano River for some trout! This is the kick off weekend for WinterFisch, a celebration that starts the first weekend in December through the middle of March.

I will be organizing the Angler Education portion of this event for TPWD.
Anyone certified in Angler Education is welcome to contact me to be a volunteer, otherwise, this time is yours to do what you want. There will be plenty of stocked trout in the water to do some low pressure fishing.

Dos Rios RV Park is located on the bank of the Llano River. Cabins, Airstreams, Glamping and Tent sites are available. Obviously if you have an RV, that is welcome as well!
An icehouse is located across the street with some great views. Mason is a few miles away if you want to go into town. If you don't want to pay to camp at Dos Rios, you are welcome to camp for free on "the island." A rarity here in Texas. Plenty of space and close to water.

I have gone ahead and rented Tent Camping site 3. 4 tents or 8-10 people. If you want to claim a tent spot at my camping site, reach out to me.

FYI, when reserving a tent site, you will need to know how many will be on the site before RSVPing as it changes the price. $20ish a night per person seems to be the cost.
