What are you going to bring? List it below!
Why cook a big meal when you can just bring one dish to share! This is one of the best events of the year; it will not disappoint!
We'll gather at 3:00 pm and eat around 3:30 pm. Bring a vegan dish and a copy of your recipe or a label. List your dietary needs down below, so we can have an idea of what to bring (gluten free, soy free, corn free, nuts, etc.).
So, here are some ideas of what you could bring:
🍠🥔 🥦 🍞 🍚 🥒 🫒 🥧☕🍷
Sweet potatoes, stuffing/dressing, wild rice, vegetables, salads, pies such as pumpkin and apple, cranberries, non-dairy nog or other flavored milks and beverages, pickles, olives, breads, rolls... make sure it's all vegan of course! (Please message me if you have questions, I'm very friendly!)Here's what is being brought so far:
•Here is a link to Nora Cooks Thanksgiving recipes! 😋
We usually start off with a little introduction of each of the dishes so that everyone will know what they contain, and so those with food allergies can choose accordingly.
If you have limited cooking facilities, (e.g., college students) or limited cooking ability, consider bringing fresh fruit, nuts, salad, soy-nog, etc. And if you just don't have time to bring something, come and eat, and help clean up at the end. We'll use St. Stephen's tableware and flatware, so we'll need some volunteers to clean up and wash dishes at the end! St. Stephen's asked that the kids have adult supervision if they're not in the hall. We hope you can attend!
What is Gentle Thanksgiving? Click the link below to read about it:
http://www.gentlethanksgiving.org/St. Stephen's has hosted us for all 18 years FMVeg has existed!
They are a vegan friendly place, with a vegan pastor, and there's even a stained glass window which features the circle v symbol, and well, you'll just have to see for yourself! Do not let the building discourage you from attending. It's a warm and inviting place!
