What we’re about
# And of course you can't become if you only say what you would have done. - from song 'Steal My Sunshine'
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who are we? A group of fun people with similar interests in outdoor & recreational activities and making new friends.
What do we do? Hiking, paddle sports, camping, festivals & ball games, winter activities, monthly social gatherings. Many of our events are suitable for children.
What about extreme sports? Sorry. If you're looking for extreme sports, there are other meetup groups that would be better suited for you.
What are the rules? We ask that you have fun but respect the interests and abilities of others. The event hosts are a group of volunteers who give much of their time to plan and organize events, so due respect is required.
What does it cost? Trial memberships are free for 30 days. Full memberships are just $5 a year. There are two ways to pay. 1) click "Join Us" and pay on-line using secured Stripe. 2) pay cash or check at one of our social events to the event host. Your membership will switch from "Trial" to "Paid Member".
The membership fee is to pay for the website. Any remaining balance will be donated to charity.

There are several good restaurant choices (and brewery) in Lincolnton. If anyone is interested, we can go to the downtown area after the hike and have a bite to eat.
Here is a link that does a great job describing the trail:
