What we’re about
This group is dedicated to the identification and harvesting of the fruits (edible mushrooms, nuts, and fruits) that the forest provides. It is also important to highlight the importance of the great system of parks that we enjoy here in Ohio. The point of this is to educate and empower people to try and overcome the phobias that we all had growing up that mushrooms are something to fear. There are a lot of wild mushrooms and fruits that will be something new to you. Something that you may enjoy more than anything you have ever bought at the store. That being said. I encourage everyone to do their own research and to know that not everyone reacts the same to every food. Whether it be from the wild or from the store. I will show you how to identify and collect wild edibles. You will eat them if you you want to and I want to underline the fact that this is more of an educational foray than it is a way to resell or prepare mushrooms for consumption. I would never tell anyone to eat or consume anything until they have done their own research.
