PURPOSE
The group has been created as a resource to support your Estonian language studies.
WHO SHOULD JOIN?
The group is intended for foreigners living in Estonia who have already started the arduous journey of learning Estonian and want to improve their own language skills as well as helping others to improve.
The group welcomes native Estonian speakers who wish to assist students by explaining the grammar and correcting our mistakes.
WHAT WILL WE DO AT THE EVENTS?
We will regularly meet in local cafes to discuss the following:
- Discuss aspects of the grammar such as prepositions and various cases using as many examples as possible.
- Estonian idioms and how to use them
- Include something cultural such as poetry and exploring the lyrics of famous Estonian artists.
- Looking at some text of various newspaper articles in Estonian and translate them into English
- Estonian conversation practice and how to respond in various situations
- Eventually introduce some educational games to make it even more fun
WHAT SHOULD BE YOUR LEVEL?
The group will suit you if you have already acquired some basic knowledge of Estonian and are currently studying the language or have done so in the past.
