What we’re about

Interested in birds? Lets meet up to explore Fernhill wetlands in Forest Grove.
Adult friendly group best for people that have done a little birding.

Bring binoculars, scopes, and dress for weather.
If Fernhill floods I will post. check on line webcams.

A year after start up , this meetup is a success with talented birders from around the metro dropping in to help us tune our eyes to see more birds and interesting details.
I love the conversations about birds, plants, beavers, bees and other interesting natural subjects that develop over our two plus hour walks.
We have a great time. Not Audubon... but a blast. and We see something new each time.
Highlights include the 100 tundra swans, peregrine falcons, bald eagles, hunting marsh hawks, osprey feeding their babies. Hummingbirds, kinglets, brown creepers, bushtits, white throated sparrows, dunlins and dowwhitchers. We see something new every walk.

Assume its ok to bring a partner to Fernhill. I am trying to keep the group under 10 people.

I will be organizing 2 walks a month until spring / early summer.

I added the fundraiser to offset the meet up fees. fees are 200$ a year. ( out of my pocket.)
