The purpose of Fort Collins Singles over Sixty is to provide a safe environment for social activities for singles. This group requires members to be responsible for their commitments, read Event descriptions carefully, and check schedules before signing up for events. It is an expectation that all members be respectful of Event Hosts, other members and organizers, and honor the no-show policy listed below.
This group is not about drama and complaining. Excessive Negativity will result in removal from the group. We are not a dating app and any unwanted advances to members will result in being reported to Meetup and removal from the group. We enjoy dinners out, hiking, kayaking, game nights, movies, and art/music events. Members are required to post their name and have a headshot of just themselves to help Event Hosts easily identify members at Events.
Membership includes a $12 annual dues fee to help cover the cost of Meetup fees.
Members MUST keep their reservations for Events current, in respect for the Event Host and the members on the Wait List. This group has a 48-hour minimum cancellation requirement for ALL events. Please let the Event Host know ahead of time if you cannot be there.
Any member that has four "No Shows" or "Late Cancellations" will be removed from the group. That member will receive an email after each No Show or Late Cancellation, so they know where they stand in the group.
Complaints about events should be directed to the organizer of the group and should not occur in the comments section of the Event or at the Event itself.
Please be respectful of the Event Hosts; they are using their own creativity, time, energy, and often money to plan an Event. If you think you might want to plan an event, contact a current Event Host and we can co-host the event with you!
