Fort Worth and Beyond

This group is for adults who want to make friends through shared interests and activities, such as new and different dining experiences, the performing arts, theater, concerts, movies, walking/hiking/biking in different settings, travel or perhaps others that you suggest. We expect most to live in Fort Worth and and the surrounding 'burbs, but will make exceptions if you can convince us otherwise. This is not a venue for promotions, self or otherwise. If you choose to do so, you will be escorted off of the premises. No Solicitations or Salutations!!!

You will need to make an attempt to respond to the profile questions asked, for if not....we will assume that you are not real, and will be dropped. BTW, "yes" "no" "maybe" or "NA" are not valid responses, unless it is in reference to hosting events.

If you RSVP and are unable to attend, please update us or let us know. If you need help in navigating Meet-up's quirky website, again....let us know. If you repeatedly RSVP and don't show, you will be dropped for lack of interest or commitment to the group, and yes we notice, and keep track of "no shows".
I am interested in growing a group of those who are interested in meet-up, and are willing to make at least an attempt at commitment. Treat us as you would treat family and friends, which I hope we will become.

We require a recent photo of your actual self (no group [two or more] photos, pets, landscapes, avatars, emoji's, which includes treated and or filtered photos), so we can recognize you when you attend our events. Hosts will need to be able to identify you from your photo on a smart phone, so no side or tilted profiles, sunglasses if we can't see your eyes, big floppy hats, or far away shots. A pet included in the photo is okay, if it does not obscure your features.
If you are dropped for non-compliance, you may reapply if you choose to furnish an appropriate photo.

I have culled members who have been inactive for over a year, and if you have not visited this site in the past year, it is assumed that you have lost interest. Inactive does not mean that you haven't attended any events, but have not checked in to see if there are events that you are interested in attending. If you decide later that you are interested, you may reapply and you will be considered.

I will ask that you furnish at least your first name, but no pseudonyms or business names! Commercial entities and group memberships are not permissible, but individuals will continue to be allowed to bring guests.
We are welcoming of ideas and those who wish to create and host events. Help us grow and remain relevant!

Pets are allowable at events in acceptable settings. They have to be friendly and sociable, just as we would expect you to be. Please be considerate of others, since not all are "pet" people!! To those who are not, I will make an attempt that it is known when our furry friends might be in attendance.

We are very protective of our members, so no predatory behavior, or you will go straight to jail, without passing go or collecting $200.
