**Fall Hike #7 ACLT SOUTH SIDE**

Let’s hike the lesser traveled section of the **American Chestnut Land Trust (ACLT) trails in Prince Frederick, MD**. We'll do a combination of the **Frog Pond, Ridge Loop and Flint Trails -- a total of 4 miles or so in the easy to moderate range.**

Trail conditions may be muddy or uneven depending on weather so dress appropriately and wear trail-worthy shoes. [Trail maps are here](https://www.acltweb.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/2020-Trail-Map-Combined-and-Compressed-for-Web.pdf).

The **Commanders and Cowboys play at 1pm** so we're **starting at noon** so we can be done by the third quarter if anyone wants to catch the game.

Post hike party at **Running Hare Vineyard**. It's their **last day of the outfoor season** so we can help *kick the kegs*, *drain the barrels*, *slurp the slushees* and such. Plus, they have a pretty good TV set up for watching football. Note -- we'll be outside (probably with a fire pit). But if it's too cold, we may call an audible and QB sneak the party to a warmer spot.

There isn't a ton of parking at the South Side Trailhead, but it should be plenty for our group. And there's a port-a-jon at the parking area.
