Nice Writing Circle is a weekly creative writing group in which the attendees share and discuss their written or creative texts and documents, non-fiction and fiction, including short stories, novels, poems and other creative forms of writing and arts like photography and painting. Come have fun with your texts, short stories, poems, novels, haiku or other creative forms, like photographs or paintings! Open to newbies through to pros; we can all always learn more from each other. The meetup gives all a chance to practice, share, and discuss their creative texts and documents in a safe, non-judgmental setting.
This group is suitable for beginners and authors and artists working on short stories, novels, or poems and those who’re looking for the support and encouragement of a writers and artistic community. The meetup is open to anyone who wants to practice and discuss the craft of creative writing and arts, like fiction writers who hone their craft through the art of giving and receiving critiques. We will discuss texts, sharing and critiquing the work of members. Writers and artists interested in discussing their writing practices and sharing creative writing or their painting or photographs for feedback in a carefully curated respectful space will be welcome.

Each Wednesday night we will gather for a friendly meeting in which we will give attendees the opportunity to share their texts and other documents. Then we’ll write together in silence for 40 to 45 minutes. We will share our work, and we will encourage our fellow writers to keep at it. This is a chance to write and share our work and to talk a bit about the craft. We will also talk about publishing opportunities as they come up.

We will also focus on discussing each other's work and providing constructive feedback: identifying strengths, offering areas for revision, and sharing insights and reactions. The peer support from other members will provide opportunities to connect and discuss current projects, set goals and hold each other accountable, and share samples of work for critique. for peer feedback on writing, brainstorming potential solutions to writing problems, and accountability for meeting goals.

We will also set aside some time at each meeting to talk about one aspect of learning, practicing, and sharing our craft (e.g., inspiration, writing process, choosing literary magazines, submitting to contests).
We encourage writers and artists across all genres to join our community, including short fiction writers and novelists, poets, non-fiction writers and journalists, playwrights, screenwriters, painters and photographers. Our members come from all corners of the globe and range from the published professional to the aspiring amateur.
