Mark your calendars! It's the season of merrymaking, and as such you are invited to join your fellow FWS writers for our annual holiday event. We're doing it this year at [Frederick Social](https://www.frederick-social.com/) in the heart of beautiful downtown Frederick.

As always, our main event is the white elephant book exchange. Might you have accumulated an extra book or seven over the year that you might want to unload? If so, just wrap them up or otherwise conceal their identity and bring them along! Be ready too to pick up a few unexpected holiday gifts of your own in return!

Not an expert with the white elephant process? Luckily it's not hard. The only suggestion I'd have is to not bring, like, an inordinate amount of books. For example, if you're filling a duffle bag with books, that's too many. Don't have any books to unload? No worries, you can still play!

Feel free also to BYO any snacks or beverages you may wish to share. They can have a holiday theme or not. The real point of this event is to relax and socialize for a few hours with fellow writers in the midst of the busy holiday season. Please DM me with any questions. Looking forward to it!
