If you are into watersports which combines a good workout with a lot of fun, a sport which is a mix of discipline and technique, whose history spans hundreds of years and is deeply rooted into many cultures then outrigger canoeing might just be the thing for you.
Come and join us for an introductory paddle at our outrigger canoe club. Our club is like a family and comprises of people who love the sport of outrigger canoeing and the aspect of socializing that comes along with it.
The history of outrigger canoes goes back a long way, these are believed to be developed by the Austronesian- speaking people and were used during the Austronesian migration period to populate Polynesia, New Zealand and even Madagascar.
The culture and spirit of outrigger canoeing is kept alive through the sport of outrigger canoeing.
Our club organizes 3 training sessions a week and every now and then we organize a social paddle for newbies who want to join us for some fun and paddle with us to learn the ways of outrigger canoeing.
We are based at the Swan Yatch Club in East Fremantle along the beautiful Swan river.
