What, there is card life beyond bridge? Oh yes! Pretty much every country has their own indigenous card games, often involving different suits and different numbers of cards in the pack etc. This evening we will aim to have two or three different card games going, each hosted by an aficionado of the relevant game. Possibilities include: Skat; Hungarian Tarokk; Koenigrufen; to name but a few. No prior knowledge or reading required.

The Royal Oak is one of London’s most traditional pubs, and serves an excellent range of beers and drinks, but the kitchen closes early on a Sunday.

The first two sessions you attend are free, and then £1 per session or £5 per year to cover Meetup fees. I also ask that you spend at least £5 at the bar.

We should be upstairs in the John Harvey room.
