Start the New Year breathing fresh air and nature!
The Tecolote Canyon Interpretive Group will be leading a nature hike in Marian Bear Park from the Cobb Canyon entrance. The trail starts along a paved walkway between two houses, and dives down the canyon through large trees towards the main Marian Bear trail (NOTE: This path has a long set of stairs, which make the climb back up rather aerobic.) We'll hike east along the San Clemente Canyon Trail and observe a variety of plants and animals.
Binoculars and good walking shoes are recommended.
Note: There are no facilities at this location.
Directions: Off of Clairemont Mesa Blvd (east of Genesee Avenue), turn north on Diane Avenue (there is a Starbucks at the corner). Drive 0.4 miles north on Diane and turn left on Cobb Drive. Drive 0.3 miles on Cobb Drive and stop just before it makes a hard left turn to become Cobb Place. Park along the street. Trail entry is on the north side of the street between two houses.
