Visit the Edison Museum then the Chit Chat Diner for Lunch!!

Let's visit the Thomas Edison Historical Park with an eclectic collection of things to explore then enjoy lunch at the Chit Chat Diner!

We'll start the day with a tour through the museum. I've been and it's full of interesting things- learn about electricity, music and movie recordings, (see one of Hollywood's first sets). How does all that stuff work? What discoveries did they make- with over 1,000 patents? Who were the leading rivals and who won each race to launch the new technologies of the time?

We'll meet in the visitors shop at 10:00 am to begin our tour of the main laboratory. Afterwards we can walk around the campus and see a duplicate of the "Maria" (pronounced Ma-rye-a) movie set used during the silent film era, and the smaller laboratories on the campus.

The museum is cashless so you can either buy your ticket online before coming or bring your credit/debit card and bring small dollar bills for our lunch at the Diner.

Fees: $15 and if any, processing fees. For those buying on line - will post time for our Museum tour time when known.

Following our visit to the museum, we'll grab a bite at the Chit Chat Diner a kaleidoscope of color, with a whimsical Alice in Wonderland vibe with many selections on the menu. Depending on our group size we may sit at multiple tables- the diner does not take reservations but I was told to call when we get to the museum with the exact number of attendees and they'll try to accommodate us.

Parking: Museum complex- street parking and a lot across the street. There is a parking lot at the diner.
