What: Commander League
When: Every Thursday
Time: 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Cost : $6 per person, per week
Payout: Top players of each week will get pack payout - Top players at the end of each month/season will get store credit payout.
Each week you can play two games in which we will save and record the points for a full month. Each week the players with the most points get paid out in Standard Booster Packs, and at the end of the month we do a pay out of store credit+packs to the top players! The prize pay out each week and month is based off attendance. On top of regular pay out we have been sprinkling in some Promo and Premium Promo packs!
Rules/Details:
- Multi Player Banned List – can be found at MTGCOMMANDER.NET
- $6.00 entry each week you participate
- One free full mulligan
- PODs will be picked randomly
- Each "season" will run for the length of one month (4 or 5 weeks) depending on month
- Each player will play in two POD games per night (starting at 7 pm and ending at 11 pm)
- You can switch decks between PODS
- 90 Minute Time Limit (each player will get one turn after time)
- No infinite combos before turn 8 (If it ever becomes a question of what an infinite combo is at the table, just call for a judge/employee to come and be the judge, it's not a big deal.)
- Proxies are allowed but only if they are printed with full text/picture and if you own the card
- Points will be tracked on a spreadsheet
- ”Scoop” or Concede only at sorcery speed
- If multiple players are killed at the same time, determine placement by life totals.
NEW RULE SIDEBOARD/WISHBOARD is NO LONGER ALLOWED
Points can be scored the following ways:
+1 point - FIRST player in the POD to deal combat damage to an opponent (only 1 player in the POD will be able to achieve this)
+1 point - Eliminating an opponent (achievable for as many opponents as you have)
+2 points - Save an opponent from being eliminated by another opponent (each player may achieve this once per match)
+3 points for attending every week of the month long league (calculated on the final week into your total)
** -1 point for each opponent you eliminate before turn 8 **
The following is how many points you get for what place you end up in the pod:
4 player pod
1st - 4 points
2nd - 3 points
3rd - 2 points
4th - 1 point
NEW RULE (3 Player POD ONLY)
+1 point to the winner of the 3 man POD (making it 5 total)
3 player pod
1st - 5 points
2nd - 3 points
3rd - 2 points
