Weyland-Yutani Corporation is the most powerful corporation in the galaxy, and is its *de facto* ruler. But they have many enemies. Enemies like us. Lasalle Bionational. Founded by a former executive of W-Y, we knew all their secrets, all their tricks. For decades, we waged a "cold war" against Weyland-Yutani, winning some battles and losing others. We also experimented with ancient technologies like the Xenomorph XX121, hoping to gain an edge.
A tense peace hold between us and them. But this situation is changing rapidly. Hardliners within both corporations push for open hostilities, while anti-corporate radicals seek to destroy us both. Meanwhile, Earth itself has been nuked following an infestation by Xenomorphs - the damage to the galactic economy is immense. For the first time in a century, we both operated at a loss.
Out of desperation, Weyland-Yutani sent an archeological survey on LV-1113, located in the 26 Draconis system. They hoped to find something, anything, within those ancient Engineer ruins. They found something. Weyland-Yutani called it the cure to the Xenomorph plague.
We want that cure for ourselves.
And we know where to get it.
