Winter Solstice, Sunset, Social Walk/Hike. 🥾

Let’s get together and celebrate the Winter Solstice. We’ll Meetup where the pavement meets the dirt. Look for the Pride Flag🏳️‍🌈.

This is a moderate hike, 2.4 mile (in total), 90 minute hike.

Saturday, December 21st, 4pm to 5:30pm. Theres a designated parking area for the Open Space use. There’s also plenty of on street parking for this 90 minute meetup.

What’s this? Let’s mark the Winter Solstice by getting out in nature and going for a walk in the Sandia Mountains Foothills Open Space.

Let’s meetup at 4pm at the Open Space at the end of Copper Ave and Walk/Hike a couple miles into the foothills on well worn trails.

Dress for cold. Bring water and a snack. Sturdy hiking or walking shoes and a flashlight, headlamp or lighting of some kind.

Well behaved Dogs 🐕 are welcome!

This simple walk/hike in the Sandia Mountains Foothills marks the beginning of the Winter Solstice and gets us together and into nature.
We’ll pause on the saddle to catch the Winter Solstice sunset!

Rain or snow 🌧will cancel this meetup.

We’re fortunate here in ABQ to have these amazing mountains and Open Space area in our backyard. Let’s continue to appreciate and enjoy our immediate outdoor spaces.
