Let’s hike into the Sandia Foothills and catch a nice sunset atop a really sweet promontory!🤠
When? Saturday, May 24th. 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
This is a fun social-cardio hike close to home!
Elevation Gain: 300+ feet.
Distance: Less than 2 miles in total.
Sun sets at: 8:11pm.

This short hike starts off in the Albuquerque Open Space and ends in the Sandia Mountain Wilderness. We’ll walk a steady but leisurely pace so as to give you the opportunity to interact with your fellow Meetup members. This is not a race or a competition but an opportunity to meet new people and see familiar faces in an outdoor setting. We gain over 300+ feet in less than a mile. Good cardio workout with a nice view of the city and the western horizon.

We’ll head down from the promontory just after Sunset. Back to the car by 8:45pm with Twilight.

What to bring? Bring a hat, water, energy, sunscreen, flashlight, lipstick and something to sit on.👒💄and anything else that would make this Meetup more enjoyable for you!

There is a lot of scree on this trail so please be sure to wear good hiking shoes or boots.🥾

Rattlesnakes are out.🐍 Be mindful of where you step or place your hands. We’re visitors in their home along with the other animals and creatures that live here. 🐞🐜🦗🐝🦅🦄
