Code by Design: How Visual Thinking Fuels Faster Development
Details
Join DevFest Scotland Online for an insightful session on coding by design! Why does visual thinking work so well, especially in programming? It turns out, the brain processes images and patterns much faster than text. When you use visuals, you engage more parts of your brain, making it easier to spot connections and solve problems.
In fact, research has shown that 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual, and we process images 60,000 times faster than text. As developers and IT professionals, we often think in terms of syntax and logic, but our brains are wired to work visually. So when we map out problems, flowcharts, or mind maps, we’re not only simplifying complex ideas, we’re engaging our brains in a more natural way.
