1:15 PM: ✅ Alice Keeler, GDE - AppSheet: Unleash Your Inner App Maker

(45 minutes - Workshop)
Your office uses Google Workspace Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Most likely you have said "Why can't I do ___" Using 3rd party add-ons from the Google Workspace Marketplace can provide helpful additional functionality. However, they are not exactly what you need and the cost may be prohibitive. Using Google Gemini and Google Apps Script you can get started quickly creating custom built solutions that significantly increase your productivity. Collect data with a Google Form and then have it email just the right person based on the information submitted. The possibilities are endless! This workshop requires NO EXPERTISE with coding. Bring your laptop and your Google Workspace account for a hands on experience to get you going with custom solutions!

1:15 PM: ✅ Ángel Ramírez - Kubernetes for the rest of us!

(45 minutes - Workshop) This interactive workshop simplifies the learning process of Kubernetes, making it accessible even if you have no prior knowledge of infrastructure or DevOps. You will learn how to deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and automate scaling, updates, and rollbacks.
By the end of this workshop, you will have a solid understanding of how Kubernetes can streamline your application development and deployment processes.

2:00 PM: ✅ Pedro Varela - Adaptive Layouts on Android

(30 minutes)
Android developers need to embrace adaptive layouts that respond gracefully to different screen sizes and aspect ratios. This involves moving away from fixed layouts and utilizing techniques that allow the user interface to adjust dynamically based on the device's current configuration.

By leveraging WindowSizeClasses and Jetpack WindowManager, developers can create truly responsive Android applications that provide an optimal user experience across a wide range of devices, from traditional phones and tablets to cutting-edge foldables.

2:00 PM: ✅ Ricardo de Andrade, Using a LLM to build a LLM chatbot with Google

(30 minutes)
We'll leverage Google's Gemini to generate some code for us and we'll connect it to the Gemini's APIs to demonstrate building a simple chatbot and rapidly deploy it to Cloud Run.

2:30 PM: ✅ Paul Ruiz, On-device Machine Learning and AI for Android

(30 minutes)
On-device machine learning has been steadily becoming more powerful and easy to use, allowing developers to add increasingly incredible features to their mobile apps, such as image generation, object detection, and LLM-based assistants. To help our developers build better apps in less time, Google has released a suite of products with Google AI Edge specifically for adding custom and advanced ML features to your apps, regardless of your experience level with machine learning. Come learn how you can add ML to your developer toolkit and prepare for the future of app development.

2:30 PM: ✅ Laurence Svekis, GDE - Power Up with Apps Script & Gemini AI
