How the event works:
We Ease In
We Mix
We Enjoy!
We Ease In (First 30 Minutes)
Guys hang out with guys and girls with girls. Settle in and relax!
First timers check in with the host. Let the host know you are a first timer. wait for the Mix to start at 6:30pm.
Why?
We know that guys can be a bit on the competitive side and make simple social mistakes. So, we ease in and prepare for the Mix.
We Mix (Last 30 Minutes)
Guys and girls mix. Everyone makes a round. Main topic for the round, discuss ideas for what the group should do tonight and see who has the better idea. The organizer will manage the Mix.
We Enjoy the Night! (Event Conclusion)
Now that everyone has met, ideas have been shared, you decide how to spend your Friday Night!
- Go - to the place that was announced as the group favorite.
- Stay - and enjoy this place for the evening.
- Explore - go somewhere completely different. Try inviting others.
- If invited - join a sup-group at another place that sounds like fun.
- Avoid following if you were not invited.
- Go Home - not every spark creates a fire, try again next week.
- For some just showing up is a major victory. Nice Job!
- For others each event is another rep, practicing their social skills.
- Avoid adding too much pressure to yourself or to others. It takes time for you to become a familiar face in a crowd of strangers. Give everyone their own time and space.
Welcome to the Group!
In this group we help new members fit in, if you see someone making a social mistake, let them know. We're all doing the best we can.
Let's try again Next Friday and bring better ideas!
