Get out of town [slang] You're kidding; you're mistaken; I don't believe you or it. Our group seeks social opportunities and events beyond the HD (ok, many events in the HD too!) If you are looking to meet people and want to have fun while socializing; then this is the Meetup for you. Our goal is to meet new people and make new friends. We will host lots of fun social activities, outdoor events and some very-informal social time spent hanging out at member’s homes. We are open to adults of all ages, all marital statuses, etc. that want to have fun!
Social Events Ideas: Wine Tasting, Happy Hours, Dancing, Dining out, Entertainment cooking, Weekend Get-Aways, hanging out and much more. … (insert your ideas here.)
Outdoor Events Ideas: walks, hikes, bike, ebike, jogs, runs, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba, sailing, golfing, disc golfing, dog walking, camping … (insert your ideas here.)
Difficulty level: while a few studs and studdettes may walk among us, this group is aimed at the average individual. Events will list the difficulty level. “Runners with a four minute mile pace (fast!)” verses “jog at your own pace”.
Tell us what you want.
We welcome comments and suggestions for events and we need responsible people to lead events. This is your opportunity to craft the group into what you want it to be. We are planning our first events for October - we would love to hear from you.
We reserve the right to throw you out people for misbehaving. We have no room for offensive behavior.
What’s the $1? We charge $1 at most events to cover the cost of running this meetup. What do we spend it on? Meetup fees, advertising, banners, flyers, party supplies and cleanup crews.
We need greeters. We need greeters at all events to welcome new members. Greeters learn something about new members and introduce them to others. We would appreciate having volunteers for all events, please contact the leadership team prior to an event.
Strangers are friends just waiting to happen! So if you see someone here without a smile, please give them one of yours.
