PLEASE NOTE - This hike is rated as Moderately Strenuous and is not a hike for novice or beginner hikers. We are going to be hiking to a remote part of Shenandoah National Park. I am going to ask that every hiker dress for cold winter weather in the mountains.

Hike Highlights - Appalachian Trail, Big Run Loop Trail, Rockytop Trail, Lewis Peak Trail, Lewis Peak Summit Trail, Rockfalls, Multiple Winter Time Views, 360 Degree Views from Lewis Peak
Hike Details - We are going to start from the Brown Gap Parking Area on Skyline Drive. We are going to hike the Appalachian Trail northbound about a half mile to the junction with the Big Run Loop Trail. We will turn left on the Big Run Loop Trail and make our way to the junction with the Rockytop Trail. We will continue straight to the Lewis Peak and Lewis Peak Summit Trail. Along the way, we will have multiple vista winter time vista points. Upon reaching Lewis Peak, we will have 360 Degree Views of the surrounding mountains of Shenandoah. After soaking in the Views, we will retrace our steps back to the cars at Brown Gap. There will be an optional post hike at a local brewery following the hike.
